Which cameras does Camerture work with?
The built-in FaceTime HD camera on MacBooks and iMacs, Apple Studio Display, Continuity Camera with your iPhone, and almost any USB webcam.
Which apps can use it?
Any app that lets you choose a camera: FaceTime, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Slack, Webex, Discord, OBS, Photo Booth and video calls in your browser.
What can I adjust?
Exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, temperature, tint, saturation, vibrance, skin redness, sharpness and zoom. USB webcams also get their own hardware settings, such as focus and white balance.
Do I need to keep Camerture open?
No. The Camerture camera remembers your look and keeps using it, even when the app isn’t running.
What do I need?
A Mac with macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
Why does macOS ask me to allow a camera extension?
Camerture adds its own camera to macOS so every app can use your look. macOS asks you to approve that once, in System Settings.
Why does Camerture need to be in Applications?
macOS only installs virtual cameras from apps in the Applications folder. Drag Camerture there before you open it.
Is my video sent anywhere?
No. Camerture processes every frame on your Mac. Your video never leaves your computer.
Does Camerture record my video?
No. It adjusts the picture on its way to your call app. Nothing is saved or uploaded.
How do I get my licence?
Right after payment you get your licence key by email, and you can always find it, together with the download, in your account.
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay once, and updates are delivered automatically.
How many Macs can I use it on?
A licence is for one person, on up to 2 of their own Macs. Activate it on another Mac and it moves there from the Mac you used least recently. Buying for other people too? Team and Business give everyone their own key.
Can I buy Camerture for my team?
Yes. Team is $49 for 5 people, and Business covers up to 1,000 people, for less per person the more people you add. You hand out the keys from your account: everyone gets their own key by email, and you can move a key to someone else at any time.
How do I sign in to my account?
Enter your email address on the sign-in page and we’ll email you a link. There’s no password to remember.
